Class IV Laser

Class IV Laser Therapy: Advanced Deep Tissue Recovery Class IV Laser Therapy is a non-invasive, high-powered medical treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing at a cellular level. Unlike lower-powered lasers (Class III) or standard red light panels, a Class IV Laser has the intensity required to reach deep-seated muscle, ligament, and joint injuries.

How It Works: Photobiomodulation (PBM)

The laser delivers concentrated light energy (photons) deep into the tissue. When these photons reach the mitochondria—the “powerhouse” of your cells—they trigger a process called Photobiomodulation.

Accelerated Repair: It boosts the production of ATP (cellular energy), allowing damaged tissues to repair themselves faster.

Increased Circulation: The treatment creates a gentle thermal effect that draws oxygen and nutrients to the injury site.

Immediate Pain Relief: It helps calm “angry” nerves and reduces systemic inflammation in the treated area.

The Integro Advantage: Why Class IV?

At Integro, we utilize the LightForce® Class IV Laser because its power allows for shorter treatment times and deeper penetration. While manual work like ART focuses on the texture and tension of the tissue, the laser addresses the cellular energy needed for long-term recovery.

Conditions That Respond Best to Laser Therapy:

Acute Sprains & Strains: Rapidly reduces swelling in new injuries (ankles, wrists, hamstrings).

Chronic Joint Pain: Deep penetration for hip, knee, and shoulder arthritis or bursitis.

Nerve Issues: Helping to calm the “zinging” or “burning” sensations of sciatica or carpal tunnel.

Tendonitis: Accelerating healing in the Achilles, patellar, or rotator cuff tendons.

Our Goal: We use the Class IV laser to “turn on” the healing process, making your body more responsive to our manual therapy and corrective exercises.
