Elite Experience, Local Care

Dr. Lauren Elkind, DC ART, brings over 25 years of high-performance clinical experience to the East Bay. Her diverse background includes treating:

  • Professional Endurance Athletes: On-site care at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona. Providing high-performance recovery for world-class triathletes requires a deep understanding of repetitive strain and metabolic efficiency. We apply these same elite protocols to help you conquer your own finish line, whether it’s a local 5k or a full-distance triathlon.

  • Youth Athletes: Specialized injury prevention and recovery, including at the Water Polo Junior Olympics. Young athletes face unique developmental stresses that require a specialized approach to biomechanics and load management. We focus on building structural resilience early on to ensure their competitive years are defined by strength rather than injury.

  • Power & Performance: Professional football players, international powerlifters, IRONMAN competitors, and CrossFit competitors. High-intensity sports demand absolute joint integrity and explosive muscle function. By integrating ART® and focused rehabilitation, we help athletes safely push their physical limits while maintaining optimal movement patterns under heavy loads.

  • Artistic Movement: Professional dancers and gymnasts. The extreme ranges of motion required in artistic sports necessitate a delicate balance of mobility and stability. We specialize in fine-tuning fascial gliding and joint mechanics to support the grace and power these athletes require.

  • The "Weekend Warrior": Dedicated movers looking to stay active and pain-free in their daily lives. You don't need to be a professional athlete to deserve professional-grade care. We translate high-level clinical techniques into practical solutions that keep you moving, lifting, and playing without the hindrance of chronic pain.

Bridging the Gap for the Next Generation

I wanted to ensure that local students had access to the same high-level movement principles I used with professional athletes, adapted specifically for their stage of growth. This mission has transformed my practice:

  • Meeting Kids Where They Are: We don't just treat an injury; we rebuild the foundation of how a young athlete moves.
  • Functional over "Form": We focus on developmental patterns (DNS) to ensure long-term health, not just a quick fix to get back on the field.
  • A Community Resource: My practice has grown to serve a large community of student-athletes across the East Bay, providing them with the tools to build a resilient future.
